GENERAL THOUGHTS
This was the first Strawberry Shortcake cartoon ever made, yet it was the fourth one on our tape.
This special, and the next two were written by Romeo Mueller, who wrote most of the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials, like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.
By far, this is my favorite SSC special. I don't really have a reason for that.
Because of the way the SSC cartoons were ordered on the tape, I used to think this one was the last in the SSC series, because the Pieman reforms.
What drives me absolutely crazy about this special is the way people mis-title it. A lot of places call this one "The Wonderful World of Strawberry Shortcake." I don't know why, but that just bugs me. The name is definitely just "The World of Strawberry Shortcake."
